Araxi
My love of hospitality started in university restaurant jobs, where I discovered how much joy comes from connecting people over food, atmosphere, and laughter. It started even earlier at home: candles lit for guests, Santana’s “Oye Como Va” floating through the house, and our mother sweeping with a broom-turned-limbo-stick. Those nights taught me that a great event is about the energy you create for people walking through the door.
As a planner, I’m calm, warm, and a natural problem solver. I love the hustle of a wedding day and the endless moving pieces, and I’m proudest when a couple is glowing, worry-free, and in the moment.
Outside of weddings: fantasy books, teaching yoga, skiing, hiking with my dog, and baking something delicious.
Sydney
I’ve always loved gathering people. Growing up, it was long tables of pilaf, salmon on the barbecue, and wine glasses raised in laughter. That feeling of togetherness became my calling.
Before Davidian Events, I spent years at Blue Mountain Village, where our team hosted an event or festival every weekend of the year. It taught me how to bring organization, creativity, and community together seamlessly.
Off the clock, you’ll find me cooking with the music too loud, cracking open a cold beer, or with the family and friends I love. Giving back is at the heart of who I am: I’ve hosted events and donated to over 10 charities in the last decade.
The Georgian Bay Social
Over drinks at Penny’s Motel & Après, Sydney shared her love of hosting charitable events, a passion she’d set aside after moving to Blue Mountain and through the pandemic. Encouraged by friends, she took the leap, starting with the Georgian Bay Social, a post-COVID networking event with a purpose. Since then, we’ve hosted fundraisers for the Georgian Triangle Humane Society, The Butterfly Project, and My Friend’s House, raising $4,494 for our community. What began as a dream grew into Davidian Events, where we bring purpose, connection, and joy to every gathering.
